Comprised of property owners, residents, and business owners, the Veazey/McComb Neighborhood Coterie is a neighborhood planning group that represents a predominantly African-American community in one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of Lafayette, Louisiana. Founded in the summer of 2008, their organization exists to preserve their rich French Creole culture and the lively character of the neighborhood, as well as to share this rare and unique culture with not only Louisiana but with the United States of America.
